About Our Scholarship Program

SOWI offers scholarships to disadvantaged youth girls and boys to enable them attain formal education.

Currently, 25 girls and 25 boys are in our scholarship program in diverse schools of their choice, carefully vetted by the SOWI Educational Team.

Skills Training

The educational process of countless older children has been interrupted by LRA war,  poverty, and family tragedies. Many youth in their mid-to-late teens have not even been able to finish primary school. Therefore, they only have little hope when thinking about their future.

 

Other young people are just not academically inclined and would like to work with their hands instead.  As a result, SOWI took action and has created a vocational training program for the youth of Norther Uganda.
